Kiswahili Na Utamaduni (KIU) - a company based in Dar es salaam, established in 1985 for the aim of providing Swahili language training, cultural training, translation/ interpretation, and educational materials, to help people to get the most of their stay in the land of a thousand welcome (Karibu).

Communicating in a foreign language is a challenge for people engaged in development work in East Africa. During the last 30 years, KIU has developed extensive expertise in enabling expatriates to improve their language skills, as a result, our training has gained a very strong reputation in Tanzania.

A wide variety of pedagogical methods: from Grammar based to communicative and competency based approach through textbooks, audio-visual aids such as videos CD and DVD, Flash Drives, and pictures, language games and role-plays which make the lessons varied and very functional.
