Advanced Swahili Level
This course is for those who already speak and understand Swahili to Intermediate level.
The objective is to enable trainees to have high comprehension of political, economic and other issues of general interest, e.g. to express oneself on unfamiliar situation, support opinion, hypotheses and talk about abstract topics and read Swahili fictional books.
The course incorporate fundamental elements of Swahili language and East African culture, the focus is on acquiring communication skills in Swahili such as speaking, writing, listening, and reading.
Features of the course
Aspects of grammar are integrated into the content which also incorporates cultural and social aspects (music, media, etc. of the East African society. The courses are open to any student who wants to study Swahili language and culture. There will be performances of cultural insights of the people in East Africa.
